Navaraj Thapa

I am an infrastructure person in Kathmandu — in-house datacenter, racks and servers, through to cloud. For most of the last decade the job was to keep things running where stopping was expensive: a national clearing house, a card and ATM switch, a hospital treating cancer patients.
I studied at Portsmouth and spent nine years in Britain before coming home. From 2014 I was administering several hundred CentOS servers for a UK company from a desk in Kathmandu, which taught me most of what I know about working at a distance, and about automating anything you would otherwise do twice.
Now I build my own products instead. The short version is below. The full history, kept current, is on LinkedIn.

Founder · beemaportal
Two products, built and run solo:
- cvnepal.com — a CV builder aimed at Nepali job seekers, most of whom are assembling a resume for the first time.
- beemaportal.com — an insurance information portal, because insurance in Nepal is sold far more often than it is explained.
Everything from the infrastructure to the interface.
